A Lotus on Fire: Meditations and Reflections

There is a lot of talk about inter-faith dialogue these days. We need to go deeper. Instead of just talking about beliefs and philosophy, we need to create inter-spiritual practices that will connect our hearts in the language of love that is beyond words and concepts.

Join Vickie MacArthur for an exploration of her recently published spiritual memoir, A Lotus on Fire: How a Buddhist Monk Ignited My Heart, about a moment of awakening with Buddhist Monk, Thich Nhat Hanh, and how it opened her heart to the great Mystery of Love, beyond boundaries of culture and religion.

Vickie will share personal readings and stories, as well as guide spiritual practices, related to many of the books themes: spiritual awakening, inter-spirituality especially between Christianity and Buddhism, grieving a loved one, mindfulness and holy attention.

As you read and reflect on these emerging and life-giving themes, you’ll be given time to reflect on your own stories, through writing prompts that point you back to your own inner knowing and wisdom.

We invite you to become part of this inclusive community, as together we create sacred space for reflection and envisioning ourselves and our world.
